Introduce a progressive loading approach in the file viewer so that a low resolution preview is displayed instantly while higher resolution zoom levels are still being processed.
When a file is opened or zoomed, the viewer should:
Render a quick, lightweight preview within ~1 second
Seamlessly replace it with the full resolution image once ready
Maintain smooth transitions between zoom levels
Expected impact
Reduces perceived load time for large images
Enables near-instant visual feedback when opening files
Improves efficiency when reviewing multiple artworks in sequence
Creates a more responsive and fluid viewing experience
Notes for implementation
Use progressive image loading or placeholder thumbnails
Ensure transitions between preview and full resolution are visually smooth to avoid flicker
This enhancement would significantly improve speed and usability in artwork review workflows, especially for high volume use cases.
